- Is HomeGuard Incorporated and HomeGuard HomeWarranty Inc. the same company?
Only Homeguard HomeWarranty Inc. is licensed by the Department of
Insurance. However, they are affiliates. They operate independently but
consider themselves sister

- Where is coverage available?
through HomeGuard HomeWarranty is currently available in the greater
Bay Area. We plan to roll out coverage to other areas in Northern
California within the next several years.
- What is Basic Coverage?
Basic Coverage for a home measuring under 5,000 feet includes:
Dishwasher, Range/Oven/Cooktop, Built-in Microwave Oven, Garbage
Disposal, Trash Compactor, Instant Hot Water Dispenser, Door Bells,
Smoke Detectors, Telephone Wiring, Primary Heating System, Plumbing
System and Stoppages, Electrical System, Central Vacuum System, Garage
Door Opener, Ceiling, Attic and Exhaust Fans, Water Heater, Pest
- How soon can my clients request service?
Your clients can request service immediately upon issuance of a
warranty. The underwriting department will determine if coverage on the
- When does warranty protection begin?
Seller's coverage begins when it is ordered and buyer's coverage begins
at the close of escrow subject to HomeGuard HomeWarranty receiving
payment. Coverage continues for one year and can be renewed at the end
of each year.
- What do my clients do when a covered system or appliance breaks down?
Customers may request service by visiting www.homeguardhomewarranty.com
and then fill out a claim for service online or by calling
1-866-993-2302. Customers may also request service by contacting their
sales representative. Special considerations or efforts will be made
for service requests that render the home uninhabitable.
